The Caldwell County Justice Center project involved the re-purposing of a previous 48,000 SF retail building into the new justice center. The building was gutted and finished out to include 4 courtrooms, judges' chambers, jury deliberation rooms, offices for District Attorneys, district clerks, county clerks, public records, and probation. Space is also included for conference rooms, file storage, and a detention area. Exterior improvements include a new entry structure, steel architectural elements, enclosed sally port, and security fencing. Architectural features in the public gallery and courtrooms include stained, style and rail oak wainscot with locally sourced pecan wood benches, ceramic tile and a ceramic mosaic of the historical Caldwell County Courthouse. The project contains high end IT and Audio/Video systems, as well as a security system that operates doors, cameras, and emergency alert systems. With the variety of finishes in this project from architectural woodwork to architectural steel, the fit and finishes are outstanding. The Caldwell County Justice Center will provide the citizens of Caldwell County an exceptional looking facility they can be proud of.
